Fame can be achieved at any age. From 12-year old Michael Jackson to the 80-year old Dalai Lama, the world has followed the lives of respected-and not so respected-public figures. Nevertheless, fame has always come with sacrifice. Privacy, reputation, and even dignity can be lost or gained because of fame. Does age determine the outcome? This is debatable, but can also be strongly justified by the growing number of young people headlining the media today.

According to Forbes.com, the average age of fame is steadily declining each century. In the early 1800’s, the average age people became famous was 43; in the mid-1800’s the age was 34; and during the mid-1900’s, the average age of fame was 29. So, it shouldn’t be surprising when someone like Honey-Boo Boo lands her own reality show. In the end, what classifies as entertainment worthy of fame is in the eye of the beholder; the beholder being the most progressive thinkers of a generation.

In conclusion, the key to success is individuality. No one knows this better than Houston native, Lee-Lonn. While only in his mid-20’s, the singer, songwriter, and producer is making a name for himself in the world of music. Noting Stevie Wonder, Babyface, and The Dream, as some of his major influences, Lee-Lonn is continuously evolving as an artist.
“I don’t necessarily want to follow or fall into a mold,” said Lee-Lonn. “I’m creating my own genre.”

Having two EP’s on his discography list, Lee-Lonn gained even more supporters from his performance on BET’s 106 & Park in 2012 where he sang his hit song, Maybe. Since then, he has been making several appearances by performing and interviewing. In 2014 Amir Diamond, of Houston’s 97.9 The Box, interviewed Lee-Lonn and spoke about how the singer landed a feature with Houston rap legend,Chamillionaire.

Lee-Lonn is taking no short cuts in his climb to success. Every note he croons and every rhythm he produces tells a story. He attributes some of his sound to the world around him. He receives inspiration from noise in the street as well as encounters with people of all ages. Which ever muse he chooses, Lee-Lonn knows how to create entertaining music for his listeners.
“There’s no rules when you make music,” said Lee-Lonn. “There’s no limitations – no boxes.”
